Nobu Hotel London

What a whirlwind January has been and I find myself in my third, five star hotel in two weeks. I am enjoying my first stay in the Nobu Hotel in Portman Square, which is situated in a great location and a short walk to Oxford Street, Regent Street and Marylebone High Street.

Home to the iconic Nobu Japanese restaurant, the hotel has a range of rooms and suites available and I enjoyed the minimalist feel to the room which comes with an emperor bed, walk-in shower and traditional Japanese tea set. The hotel provide Grown Alchemist shower products which are one of my favourites.

The staff are really helpful and allowed me to have a complimentary late check out, due to me having a late meeting in the heart of the city.

Breakfast is served in the Nobu restaurant and has buffet and menu options, I chose fresh fruit with yoghurt and a delicious granola. There are a wide range of pastries available along with salmon, meats, cheeses and a Japanese offering. The menu has a traditional British breakfast, eggs benedict, banana caramel soy French toast and a wide choice of other options

The room service menu has a superb variety of dishes from grilled halloumi burger, roast guinea fowl and a selection of Nobu dishes, I highly recommend the Bento box with sashimi salad, assorted sushi, baby tiger prawn ceviche and black cod with miso served with vegetable spicy rice with garlic if you chose to eat in your room.

Nobu Hotel Portman Square boasts Nobu Pilates which has three signature classes all set in a light-filled stylish studio. You can choose from Power, Precision and Pure – each combining the core components of traditional Pilates. Nobu Wellness and Fitness offers 24 hour access to the Technogym equipment and there are three treatment rooms offering an array of luxury body, face and massage treatments. Nobu Wellness also offers IV Drip Therapy by REVIV.

I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail they offer to parents travelling with babies and young children, such as a cot with toys and gorgeous bedding, a nappy pail, steriliser, bottle warmer, a Shnuggle bath is provided as there are walk in showers and some lovely toiletries.

To summarise my stay, I would highly recommend the Nobu Hotel Portland Square, my only recommendation would be to request top floor accommodation as I was woken several times due to noises from the room above.
