Top 5 Kids Travel Tips

Minime and myself have just returned from a lovely holiday in the sun. So, we have decided to put together our top 5 travel tips for kids:
UV Sun Suits
UV suits are a must in the sun, they dry quickly and keep skin safe. I love the selection at M&S, with their Sun Smart UPF50+ technology, these swim shorts have been verified by the British Skin Foundation to help protect from UV rays.
Photographic Rash Vest (3-16 Years). A funky children’s rash vest to keep them covered from the sun during days at the beach, don’t start any sunny getaway without this cool number. Featuring an ombre palm print design, this raglan swim top has plenty of stretch for all day comfort, and has been approved by the British Skin Foundation to offer UPF50+ protection with our Sun Smart technology. The fun design stays looking vibrant and in great shape for longer thanks to a Chlorine Resist finish.
Sustainable Photographic Board Swim Shorts (3-16 Years). With a cool skater and palm tree print, these kids’ swimming trunks are sure to be a new favourite. They’ll stay looking great for longer thanks to our StayNEW™ Chlorine Resist technology, while a great fit is provided thanks to the drawstring waistband. Finished off with our Sun Smart UPF50+ technology, these swim shorts have been verified by the British Skin Foundation to help protect from UV rays.
Medication
Paracetamol, Ibruofen and antihistamine. Make sure you take your child’s usual medication and a repeat prescription in case of emergencies and some countries require this on entry. I always like to pack a travel sized first aid kit too.
Suncream
I recommend 3/4 bottles per week, per child and you will use more is using a spray. Check out our top five here.
Travel hack- order your suncream/aftersun and all other toiletries from boots online and get it delivered to you after security- doesn’t count in your baggage allowance.
Mosquito repellent
My personal favourite and after recent trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic I used Avon skin so soft and not one bite!
Games
We loved playing cards, dominoes and travel connect 4. They are perfect for sitting in the shade between 12-3pm or for the plane journey.
