The Sunningdale Academy

The Sunningdale Academy runs courses for children ages 4+, focusing on social skills, etiquette, health and wellbeing. The business was founded in 2017 by Zoe Birri, who strongly believes that learning certain skills from a young age can help to build confidence and set children up for achievement in their social, academic and professional lives.
The children who attend courses at The Sunningdale Academy learn how to deal confidently and practically with various social situations as well as stay in tune with their emotional and physical health. The Sunningdale Academy offers enjoyable, group-based events led by subject matter experts with a strong emphasis on learning through practice rather than theory.
How do we confidently introduce ourselves to a friend’s parent or a new teacher? How do we stand up for ourselves if we are being treated unfairly by someone? What if we do not like the food that is offered to us at a birthday party? How can we manage exam stress? How can we best manage our time and prioritise effectively? How do we make others feel welcome in a group discussion?
The Sunningdale Academy provides a fun, activity based and safe environment for children to learn in. There is a strong emphasis placed on the importance of learning how to socialise with others and build friendships, which is why the courses usually include a full group meal every week as well as a celebratory graduation ceremony with the other students, as a chance to put newly learnt skills into practice.
The Sunningdale Academy started its journey in Sunningdale, Berkshire, but has since expanded to other locations in the UK including Surrey, Hertfordshire and London. You can find out more about the courses they run here: www.thesunningdaleacademy.com
